New Sierra Club Member Information
The Membership Committee volunteers want to personally welcome you to the Four Lakes Group! Your new membership not only enrolls you in one of the largest and oldest environmental clubs in the world, our National Club based in San Francisco, it also creates local connections. You are now a part of our statewide Sierra Club - the John Muir Chapter – and our local Four Lakes Group. Below you’ll find all the resources to learn about us and get involved. Also feel free to reach out to us with questions. We look forward to meeting you!
Get Involved!
Many of us join the Sierra Club because we care about the natural world and want to help with its preservation. However, finding the best way to get involved can be a challenge. We need your help now! We encourage you to fill out our (very short) Volunteer Interest survey so we can put you in touch with the opportunities that interest YOU!

Get Outside!
One of the Sierra Club’s most important missions is to introduce others to the beauty and joy of being outside in nature. To that end, we run a year-round Outings program that is open to all Sierra Club members and the public. We encourage you to join in the outings, as it’s a great way to meet people and learn more about our beautiful state! Also be aware that the Four Lakes Group does a monthly educational program, in case you prefer your social settings indoors.
