Join us as we visit the East side eatery that grew out of one of Madison’s favorite food carts.  Along with its award-winning falafel, Banzo serves up other freshly made Mediterranean dishes, American staples, such as Philly cheesesteak, beef sliders, chicken pitas and plenty of vegetarian options, unique soups and salads that are made daily, and exquisite desserts.  RSVP to lacinda.athen@gmail.com or 608-274-7870 and she will provide the dinner time.

john muirSaturday April 19: Celebrate Muir’s Birthday, Earth Day, & the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act

Join the WI Friends of John Muir, the Sierra Club, and others to celebrate John Muir’s Birthday, the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act, and Earth Day on Saturday April 19, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at John Muir Memorial Park, located at N1383 CR-F in Montello.

This multi-location event includes a morning litter clean-up, hike, John Muir exhibit, children’s concert with the Prairie Sands band, birthday cake, and more!
