RAH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR
WATERFRONT FESTIVAL JUNE 7-8!
The
Marquette Neighborhood Association "season opener"
is coming up soon! This year the always hoppin' Marquette
Waterfront Festival will be held at Yahara Park on
June 7-8. Once again,
our Recyling Away from Home program will
provide recyling containers and will haul garbage
and recyclables in order to minimize the landfill
load that this festival could potentially create.
Volunteers are needed for set up on Saturday morning,
throughout the day Saturday and Sunday, and to break
down Sunday evening. Shifts are 3 hours each, and
within each shift there is usually ample time to also
enjoy the festival. Duties include a minimal amount
of sorting, but mostly checking and replacing bags,
and hauling bags to the pick-up spot nearby.
