brittingham park signSaturday, June 29:  Take a Stake in the Lakes!  Brittingham Park Shoreline Cleanup

Join the Four Lakes Sierra Club and Friends of Monona Bay on Saturday, June 29, from 10:00 to Noon to help clean up our lakes!  Meet at the Brittingham Beach House, 701 W. Brittingham Place, now home to Brittingham Boats. Based on how many volunteers show up, we will determine where to have people concentrate their efforts. If you have a rake, canoe or kayak, feel free to bring them along to help collect trash and weeds from the water.  Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet, and bring gloves if you want.  Don’t forget your sunscreen!  Afterwards, plan to stick around for lunch.  Brittingham Boats offers Babcock Hall Ice Cream, coffee drinks and “make your own” grilled cheese.  In addition, feel free to bring a dish to share, or some other cold beverages to relax with after the work party.  Free “Take a Stake in our Waters” t-shirts for all volunteers! Contact lacinda.athen@gmail.com with questions and RSVP on VolunteerSpot using the button below.
